Virtual 2021 Economic Development Forum

Start: 21 JULY, 2020 08:30 (CST) - End: 22 JULY, 2020 16:00 (CST)

Recovery…It’s a Journey Not a Destination

Over a year ago, COVID-19 caused unforeseen global disruption and no one was immune to the destruction it caused. The pandemic resulted in the shuttering of businesses, the crimpling of the workforce, the weakening of supply chains and beyond.

Now, with the lowered number of cases and more knowledge about mitigating the risks and spread of COVID-19, we are experiencing more normalcy each day, however, the world in which we lived, worked and played will never be the same. Therefore, we must reimagine how we navigate this new reality to recover from the impacts caused by COVID-19 and become resilient against potential future threats.

The theme of this year’s virtual Economic Development Forum is The New Reality: A Journey of Recovery and Resiliency for Businesses and Communities. Our goal is to provide information, strategies and access to resources to assist businesses and communities as we prepare for or continue our journey of recovery and resiliency.

What to Expect

Attendees at this year’s event can expect an experience similar to our live events, such as unlimited face-to-face networking, current research findings from industry thought leaders, business development opportunities, contracting and procurement connections and much more!

This year, our attendees will also have the ability to customize their virtual experience with new additions to the virtual 2021 EDF. We have added four (4) tracks for workshops that will provide insight into areas of interest for our virtual guests:

  • Corporate Track
  • Business-to-Business Track
  • Business-to-Consumer Track
  • Community Track

On day one, July 21, each track will have three (3) unique workshops that will address challenges that have been caused by COVID-19. Each attendee will have the ability to choose which track and/or workshop suits their individual interests.

On day two, July 22, attendees will have access to Hot Topics, our breakout rooms where intimate conversations are held with workshop speakers and panelists about the topics presented the previous day. This will allow our guests to get a deeper understanding of strategies shared and help them determine how to best implement them in their companies and lives.

The Pitch to Pivot, the virtual 2020 pitch competition presented by FedEx, was such a big success. So, we have partnered with FedEx again this year to offer business owners another opportunity to win one of six cash awards. Click here to learn more about competition qualifications and submit your interest to participate.

We look forward to you joining us for this year’s enhanced virtual event.

Don’t wait! Register today for your virtual seat.
